入門用として適するか？, 2008/1/14

私はピアノ歴約４５年で、入門は昭和３０年代です。
当時は、ピアノ練習用楽譜の「定番」と言える様なものがあって、
バイエル、ハノン、ソナチネ、インヴェンション、ツェルニー３０番という具合でした。
私は、この練習コースには、長短、悲喜交々の面があると思っています。
これらに真面目に取り組めば、確実に、確かなテクニックを身に付ける事が出来ます。
ただし、これらの曲集が、かなり無味乾燥である上、一定のレベルに達するには、少なくとも１０年以上を要します。
目的意識の強い大人には、この「試練」に耐える事も、それなりに行えるかも知れません。
しかし、曲の内容を十分に理解しないまま、スパルタ講師に叱られてばかりだと、絶対に嫌になります。
バイエルには、一定の欠点があります。
両手を上手に遣わせる点は良いのですが、それらの多くが、６度の範囲にとどまっています。
つまり、両手の「返し」を重視せず、その割には、いきなりオクターブをつかませたりして戸惑います。
特に、手の小さい方や、幼児の皆さんには、注意すべき部分です。
近年のピアノ入門用教育では、バイエルは化石と化しつつある様な印象すらあります。
かと言って、決め手となる、定番入門用楽譜は無いのが現状です。
ショパンを主なレパートリーとするピアニスト、故ルービンシュタンは言いました。
「練習曲など必要としない。好きな楽曲を自由に練習すれば良く、楽しくなければ意味が無い」
これは、天才ならではの極論かも知れませんが、好きこそ上手なれ式に、私には成る程と思えます。
バイエルを全部練習しなくても良いです。
長所をうまく見極めて、他の楽譜も併用しながら、上手に付き合われて下さい。
